In recent decades, the narrative has shifted towards hyper-individualism and relentless self-improvement. Social media amplifies this pressure, showcasing curated lives that highlight success, creativity, and productivity
Does Everyone Need Extra Accolades?
Cooking a meal, or spending time at home, don’t always come with accolades, but they enrich our lives in immeasurable ways. The act of being human, of participating in the everyday, is a worthy pursuit in itself
So, Returning to Our Humanity?
It’s perfectly valid to strive for goals and pursue passions, but these pursuits shouldn’t overshadow the importance of just being ♥︎

➤When I paint to express color themes, I feel a vital energy flowing within me.
I often gravitate toward deep reds, lilac purples, and rich, sensual hues but recently I chose something different!
Discovering Something Different ~ I decided to delve into the colors of aquamarine. Working with the hues in the painting above felt refreshing and fun, as it was my first experience painting with blues. It stirred something new within me!

The Freedom Of Creating Without The Pressure to Sell Ourselves
We do not need to sell and monetise our talents. There tends to be a modern societal pressure of “turning your passion into a product”.
Shining Your Light
You do not need to monetise your passions in order to fulfil your purpose on this planet. This isn’t how our ancestors lived.
They didn’t constantly chase self-help mantras or obsess over personal improvement; they worked the land, found ways to be content, and built lives rooted in simplicity.
Our ancestors saw money as a resource and equally important to them was the idea of contentment and grace.
Contentment is not to be confused with lack of ambition; rather it represents a healthy way of living, returning to our tradition of peace, thriving in simplicity.
Constantly chasing more is the hype of todays internet culture.
It’s okay to want to improve your life in whatever areas you can, however “instant gratification” and “overnight success stories” can leave us feeling like we aren’t “manifesting our dreams vigorously enough”.
The truth is, you’re doing everything you can.
Approach the online culture with a critical eye and do not get swept away by the hype.
I’m not here to dish out the cliché positive self-help talk that sounds nice but doesn’t resonate with those facing real life hardships and real responsibilities.
What I am saying is there can be advantages to old fashioned tradition. The relentless pursuit of rapid change could be hurting us.
There are very significant strengths in returning to tradition. It can offer us reprieve and comfort from the relentless chase of more.
Tradition his not a step back; its a proven foundation for moving forward.
It deeply roots us in a life that is grounded, uncomplicated, fulfilling & bountiful!

My Music ➤ Listen to me play the piano! ❣︎ I play by ear and just have fun with it. Playing by ear or Intuitive playing refers to the ability to create music spontaneously, often without formal training or a structured approach. This style emphasizes feeling and expression over technical precision. Music is the language of the universe. Music is unpretentious, yet the pretentiousness in the music industry can be off-putting, as it can discourage us from picking up an instrument and enjoying the simple act of trying to make music. I can’t read music. Like most things in life, playing an instrument without lessons is humbling. I play by ear & rely on my human instincts, emotions, and life experiences to guide my music (and yes, without a care in the world). It doesn’t have to make sense, it’s music. Make it uniquely yours ♬

➤At times, it feels as if creativity must be driven back to life. It’s not easy to try something new, especially when you’ve convinced yourself “you’re not a sketcher” or “you’re not a painter”. Doing it anyway, can be both humbling and surprisingly fun and interesting. This sketch conveys my feelings of strength and resilience. Like a fierce Viking spirit driving me forward. My strength in silent, bold action. “Boldness, Spirit, Victory”.

➤Sometimes it may feel as if my creations resemble the work of a three-year-old, but that’s the timing of it.
➤For overly creative people, instead of inspiring us, the sheer amount of creative ideas we hold can lead to a sense of dread when it comes to actually creating art.
➤This internal struggle is all too relatable for many of us. The pressure to translate vibrant thoughts into tangible forms can lead to freezing in stagnation, making it difficult to take that first step.
➤So, if you’ve ever felt that dread creeping in, know that you’re not alone!
♥︎ We can break free from the confines of our minds and rediscover the joy of expression. So, let’s pull up our stools and create like children!

The modern portrayal of femininity often emphasizes qualities such as compassion, nurturing, and gentleness. Women are encouraged to embody these traits, presenting an image of serenity and poise. While these attributes are indeed valuable, this one-dimensional view of femininity can lead to a disconnection from the full range of human emotions that women experience.

Is New Age Femininity Empowering or Oppressive?
While the ‘new age femininity movement’ has undeniably opened up more freedoms for women, it has simultaneously introduced forms of oppression that are just as significant.
This paradox highlights the complexity of progress, where the liberation of one aspect can lead to the suppression of another.
How Can We Embrace All Aspects of Femininity?
To create a more inclusive understanding of femininity, we must break free from the confines of the ‘angelic ideal’ of women. This means creating spaces where women can express their 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 range of self ꕥ
When we praise one aspect of the feminine—specifically the angelic—above all others, we inadvertently create an angelic ideal that is incoherent to the feminine way. “𝐘𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞 “ ♥︎
